Blanca Guerrero is a visual artist born in Madrid, Spain and raised in Manhattan, New York. She earned a BFA with Honors in Printmaking from the Rhode Island School of Design in 2012. Her work has been exhibited in Italy, Japan, Spain, and the United States. In September of 2021, she relocated to Madrid after 29 years in New York.

Guerrero's work encompasses painting, photography, and collage. With every one of these mediums, she proposes places to be. Her process starts from exercises in conscious observation; from the ceding of self to landscapes, moments, or surroundings. When producing her work, she shifts back over these passing instances and attempts to retrieve this visual and corporeal awareness.

With her work, Guerrero prolongs the sensorial nature of fleeting phenomena– such as the glare of the sun, a landscape at night, the different levels of darkness during dusk, the veil of fog, or light dancing on the surface of water and its reflection on the depths below. It is a process in which she is constantly striving to give a physical presence to a tenuous perception; an effort to capture the ephemeral experience of seeing.
